About the Author
THOMAS STEARNS ELIOT was born in St Louis, Missouri, in 1888. He moved to England in 1914 and published his first book of poems in 1917. He received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948. Eliot died in 1965.

Despite many moves, this has always managed to keep a place on my book shelf. Once you work your way through the classics, they become imprinted in your memories as a part of who you once were and now are. You may not always read them, but you always need them. Other books will come and go, but always is T.S. Eliot. Usual suspects are all here, working from "Love Song" up. Re-reading them as you grow older brings different meanings. Every phase has its own tinge of sorrow and joy. My view now of the ladies talking of Michelangelo has changed from a once distant view to a more familiar hue. Every now and then, it occurs to one to ask "Do I disturb the universe?" Maybe one day you finally will. Buy this not because it is on a required reading list. (Even we can learn from required lists). Rather, buy it to remember when you read poetry for the sake of finding emotion when you had more than enough to share. Make it part of your day, poetry. Everyone has to start somewhere, start here.
From a publisher's production standard this is a physically unattractive book. Like a paperback it's "perfect bound" which means the pages are held together with glue. However, the book does lie flat, probably the only advantage over the cheaper paperback edition. This edition is also T.S. Eliot expurgated. It excludes a number of minor poems, including his anti-Semitic ones. They can be found in Eliot's "Complete Poems and Plays," published years ago, but long out of print.
Been dying to get my hands on a copy of The Waste Land. This was by far the best option because it came with many other classic Eliot poems as well and the book is beautiful! Worth the price
I bought it used so there was a little writing in it, but all pages are there, there are no obvious rips, and it was super cheap! Awesome book, the one I got is in fairly good condition, and the price was very reasonable!
This book has most of the Eliot poems that I was interested in reading like Prufrock, Choruses, Hollow Men and Wasteland. It's not a light read but it is a must-read for poetry-lovers.
A very nice e version of the text of my favourite poet. Let's shake it like "a madman shakes a geranium!" Why a geranium? Why not?
Eliot is one of my favorite poets. I already have the Hardcover version of this book, but love the portability of the Kindle editions.
I am not an objective reviewer. I LOVE T.S. Eliot...a true treasure to our literature.
