I am in my last year of law school, and hands down this is the worst case book I've encountered. The case facts are edited to the point it is almost impossible to figure out what is going on, so then when you get to the holding and rule application it doesn't make sense. With just a few more sentences in the background, it would save the time I spend having to go to WestLaw to get the framework needed. Or, I wait until class, pray I'm not called on, and wait for my prof to set it up. So far this semester I've heard my professor say, "the edits make this one hard to understand, let me help explain what's going on here" too many times to count.The second complaint I have is that because the facts are edited to the point of almost incomprehensibility, the editors have left out critical defined terms. Suddenly pages in the opinion will refer to the Authority, or the Regulations, or Whatever, and I'll search the pages preceding to figure out what they are talking about, but then, again, have to go to WestLaw to figure it out because it was defined in a section edited out.Third, Ocean and Coastal Law has a number of authorities at play: international, national, state, and local municipalities. Oftentimes the edits make it hard to determine that you've moved from a national entity to a state entity without google. Once you figure out that you've read three paragraphs thinking you were reading about national regulation, but then figure out it is state statute, you have to reread the section again with the right mental framework. If I were a 1L, I would think I just don't have reading casebooks down yet, but given that I'm almost done with school [I can graduate this semester] I don't think its solely user error.Finally, the notes at the end of the cases are really frustrating. More than half of the notes are posed as questions, or don't complete the thought. So I have to google whether or not the U.S. Senate ratified the 1994 U.N. Agreement Relating to the Implementation of Part XI of UNCLOS. They tell me Clinton asked them too...but not whether they did. It then asks me questions, but I can't answer them because, at least in my mind, the answers are dependent on whether or not the agreement was signed.In sum, unless you have extra time supplement your learning with google and WestLaw [and, heaven help you, you're not trying to read in a remote location where there is no internet service] this book provides more frustration than principles of learning, and I would NOT recommend it to anyone who actually wants to learn the law.

Very topical. I usually sell my books after class has ended, but in this case I might keep it for reference.

Kel needs to be an inspiration, a diplomat, and an effective manager, and she calls on those skills as much as what she's learned of fighting.And as the war rages around her, Kel has to face the heartbreak of a leader who watches good people die under her command. The author does not pull punches on the grim realities, but still manages to make this an uplifting finale to an excellent story.

Ive given the entire series 5 stars. Considering I just put the book down not 2 minutes ago, I'm wondering if its wise to write a review without giving my mind a chance to relax from its reeling. I didn't think I could love a series more than Tamora Pierce's Immortals quartet. I loved Diane and Numair, I loved her strength and his wisdom. However Kelandry gives them a run for their money.Kel becomes a night, obviously so, but what grips me is that I watched her grow. I felt like I was there with her as a child, fending off attack after attack from her peers and superiors. I watched her battle fears and grow into a stalwart woman without even noticing.I didn't agree with Kel's idea that tattling was bad practice, and whatever price she paid for it, the rewards reaped ten fold at the end. The people who doubted her (The ones who mattered) no longer did. She broke the surface, tradition and sometimes my heart. Though there inst a love interest in these books (something that makes me cringe because I do like a side of romance) it doesn't matter. Tamora paints war as what it is, ugly, and her priorities were clear.I don't think Kel will die a virgin however. I'm hoping she is mentioned in the Trickster's duet. Though Im praying that Tamora Pierce will write more about Tortall and its present day. I grew up with Immortals, and no other author gives me such a fluttery feeling in my chest.One of my favorite things about this book was the addition of Diane, Numair, and Alanna. I am not ashamed to say I fan girl squealed any time they were in a scene. It was like a warm reminder that they were okay, they lived on, and they were happy. I have a feeling I will be reading these books all over again soon.

I ordered LADY KNIGHT because my old copy was wearing out...I love this book, always have--and prefer the artwork on this cover to art the newest editions of this book by Tamora Pierce have--it shows a strong and determined Kel, and her crochety, loyal gelding, Peachblossom.Kel's quest for the Nothing Man, her loyalty to her friends, old and new, her affection for her animal friends(magically enhanced by Daine the Wildmage to help Kel defend her refugee camp), remain, as always, a joy to read.A book for children and adults alike--and as it was written during 9-11, a fitting tribute to those lost on that terrible day in New York City.

I really like this series. Kel becomes a green knight. Find out what happens to her and what new adventures await her. Make sure you read the other three books before this. Find out what happens with your other favorite characters as well like Nel. I will give you a little spoiler. Kel gets a new servant. I laughed out loud about how she got him. And a few things what happened afterward. There was even a scene when I wanted to cry a little. So check it out. It is a little longer than the other books and that is actually a good thing. I will probably end up rereading it in the future. So this will be a great classic for me. If you have liked this series I would recommend checking out Trickster's Choice and The Trickster Queen. There is also the the Beka Cooper books. This series is set before Alanna and all of them. So keep that in mind. These books are set in the same world as Tortall though.

Tamora Pierce is definitely my favorite author and the Protector of the Small is my favorite quartet. Alanna even mentions it in the book - the reason that Kel draws such admiration from her fans (and readers) is that she seems more real to people than the Legendary Champion. She's very down to earth and no nonsense, and struggles with being the first girl to openly strive for knighthood. She deals with everyday discrimination, excels despite setbacks, and stays true to her values. Kel is a strong role model for girls and her story is also a great story to read.

A satisfying conclusion to this series: Kel is a believable hero, who continues to develop through the challenges of surviving a border war and the terrifying magic and monsters of an enemy mage. As the fourth (and last) book of this series, this novel brings together some of the core characters who have been woven into previous novels. (And leaves this reader hope that there will be more novels about Kel's life after the war!)This is a marvelous series for young adults--and for adults who enjoy and value young adult literature. I have watched students, nephews, and nieces become captivated by this quartet. I am happy to see the values of caring, persistence and gender equity that develops through the series.

I love the action in this book. It was week thought out. Made you feel for each character, even the minor ones and ones you did not like. The ending left you wanting more, but the story was over. Lady Kel is one of my most favorite characters ever. She is smart, strong, caring, but she also has flaws that make her believable. I love how complex she is and it translates well.

This book was a fantastic gift for my husband. He has been a dairy farmer his whole life and has now "retired" to raising beef cattle. Farmall tractors have been part of his life for over forty years now, so he loves reading about them. This book is full of information on many different tractors with beautiful and colorful pictures of old and new tractors. Anyone who loves Farmall tractors and appreciates them would love to spend time in this book. The book was in perfect condition and was shipped quickly.

I bought this for my father for Christmas, and he has really been enjoying it. Every time I visit him he is looking at this book. He says it is very informative. He had 9 other antique tractor and Farmall books prior to this one, so that is very impressive.

Fascinating history! Especially enjoyed the discussion of how developments the tractors manufactured by the company's competitors affected the various Farmall models and the discussion of the tensions between the engineers and the designers.A must read for tractor lovers!

A lot of management names. Not much about specific designs, components, changes, etc.

I rated it as 5 stars aka "I love it" but really, "I loved it". I'll come to why I used past tense, but first things first - the review.This is a must have for anyone who collects state quarters. Very nicely designed. Will hold your coins really well and will showcase them to perfection. It has a nice map with state names and perfect slots to fit your coins. Glue is not needed. You can flaunt your collection to guests and strangers alike.Now, why my use of past tense: Well, this item was stolen from my baggage while on an international trip. I guess, the thief would give it a 5-star review too!

I purchased this for my 6 year old who has developed an interest in coins. I figured that a good way for him to get started was to collect the state quarters - they are relatively easy to find, they will teach him about the states, and they are relatable for a 6 year old (he knows what states are and he knows what quarters are). This collector map is perfect for him (he actually hugged me when I gave it to him!). It's visually appealing (which is important to kids), it's sturdy, and it's got great information on it. It also gotten him curious about how money is made and how coins are designed.It has a velcro tab that keeps it closed, so it's easy to open, but stays shut as needed. The quarters go in securely so there is no chance of them falling out. It's got lots of great information on it, like the years of issue and facts about each state. Also, since it's laid out as a map, it's a great way for kids to get familiar with US geography.Only slight downside is that it only has one slot for each quarter, so you have to decide to focus on D or P quarters, or just not care about the mint. My son, the avid consumer, solved this by suggesting we order one more. That way he could collect both. I've agreed since I really like this collectors map and it will keep him saving his quarters for longer.

We haven't. Put ot into action yet so I may comeback and update this. My daughter (5) is old enough for a hobby and wanted one. We narrowed down the choices to coin collecting and stamp collecting. She choose coin collecting wi we are saving it for Christmas. She already loves coins. I feel this will be a great way to teach history, geography, culture, patience and even how to save money.The size and quality (based on the feel of it) are amazing. Its a large book. It feels incredibly sturdy. We already have a ton of quarter (not all) because when we mentioned her choice is hobbies on facebook, our whole family started sending quarter. This might fill up quick. But then we will be doing the penny books. Lol.

Beautiful map to fill in all of the state quarters, as well as the US territories. I wish it had space for another mint, but I knew going into the purchase it didn't. Still happy with it and my coins are staying safely organized now! Plus if youre buying for a youngster, there is blurbs about each state that is kinda cool too.

I bought two of these after reading overall very positive reviews for this item in Amazon. I bought these for my nephew and niece in INDIA as I think these (with the quarters in of course) would be excellent gift for them to learn more about US in a simple yet interesting way..Now, I must say I am extremely happy with my purchase and have to say that it is money well spent.Pros:easy to place the coins in their spots and they are held tight.. the most important thing I felt is if you want to replace a coin, it is easy to take one out and put another back in with ease and without any damage of the coin slot. I like the recess provided with each coin slot for this purpose.good and concise description of the states and overall a nice item to hold on to and display.nice and sturdy cardboard, but not too heavy.Consnothing significant.. minor points to mention which might be a bit of surprize.size: some people might find the size (even after folding) bit large.Extra slots: the album contains slots for the DC & US territories Quarters released in 2009 in addition to the 50 states.while the 50 state quarters are not that hard to find these 2009 quarters (Guam, US Virgin Islands, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands) are extremely hard to find in circulation. so chances are you might end up having your collection incomplete and have empty slots in the album.Summaryvery good product and certainly will recommend this.

I ordered this, the newer product from Whitman called 'Statehood Quarters Map (Hardcover)' as well as "The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters: Complete 100 Hole Collector's Folder, Complete Collection 1999-2008 (Hardcover)". This was by far the best of the three. It includes space for the new DC and Territorial quarters. It looks good and is very easy to use (yes, even though you are merely storing coins, there is a distinct difference in 'ease' of use of the three products).If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to point out a problem with this product, I'd say its the size. But, that being said, it still fits on my book shelf, so if not a hassle at all. Love it, and will return my 'official US mint' copy to get another one of these (Thats for my dad, he collects these coins too). Although compulsory courses in "process control" can be found in the chemical engineering undergraduate curriculum as early as 1950, the textbooks available were not practical for chemical engineering students. The publication in 1965 of "Process Systems Analysis and Control" by Coughanowr and Koppel codified the discipline and dominated the field in the next decade. The emphasis of this and other similar textbooks was on the mathematical techniques (algorithms and modeling) of analysis. There developed a gap between academic theory and industrial practice, where practitioners placed greater emphasis on synthesis. In the 1980's and 1990's, textbooks providing a balance between analysis and synthesis of process control systems have appeared: (1) Stephanopoulos in 1984, (2) Seborg, Edgar and Mellichamp in 1989, (3) Morari and Zafiriou in 1989, (4) Luyben in 1990, (5) Ogunnaike and Ray in 1994 and (6) Marlin in 1995. This second edition of Seborg, Edgar and Mellichamp in 2003 is now one of the more popular books in Process Control.

Process dynamics and control is a vast subject, profoundly important for maximizing value in plant operations, but unfortunately often neglected by undergraduate students. This book by three of the most illustrious professors of chemical engineering distills their expertise and wisdom, as teachers with about 100 years combined teaching experience, into a highly accessible and cogent textbook. The book contains excellent discussions and expositions of just about all the technical concepts one would ever need in industrial practice. The example problems are juicy, to say the least, and complement the text very nicely. Those who know how to use Matlab or Mathematica will benefit hugely from solving the computer problems. In my opinion, this book should be a required text for all undergraduate chemical engineering programs, along with the book by Prof. Harmon Ray and B. Ogunnaike (Oxford).

I bought this book to teach myself about the process control systems found in plants. It is a very informative book, but asks very general questions, especially regarding the creation of dynamic equations for various systems. This is something that I appreciate, but there is no way to check my work to see if I am approaching the problem correctly. I have tried to find the solutions online, but the only way I could get any is if I was a teacher/professor registered with Wiley.

It can be helpful to know the background of the person leaving the review: I obtained both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the University of Toledo, and for the last three years, I have worked both as a process and process control engineer in industry (2007-2010). Before I purchased a process control book, I did much research and I know now that I made the right decision. Whether you are student who is trying to learn process control for the first time or if you are already in your career (academia or industry), this is a book that combines the best of both worlds--technical precision and real-world application.I personally read through this book myself; it helped greatly as I had to learn quickly about control systems and multi input-multi output (MIMO) control systems. It was a good read; that is, it wasn't too difficult. Now, I use this as another great chemical engineering reference in my collection. This was a great buy and I would highly recommend it for anyone at any stage in his/ her chemical engineering pursuits.

Very boring bland book with examples that were not very helpful. Nothing was aimed at real world examples which does not help a student relate to why the curriculum is useful.

Basic knowledge and understanding of process control is needed and this book is great for viewing examples of process control.

The book was in excellent condition and arrived within a week of shipping. It was a very satisfying purchase.
