About the Author
Nicklaus Suino is a sixth-degree black belt in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu iaido. He is codirector of the iaido division and director of the judo division of the Shudokan Martial Arts Association, and is a regional director of the North American branch of the International Martial Arts Federation. This is pretty good for a beginner that has an experienced teacher to help with the fine details.It might be of use for someone with more experience in practice with little teaching experience. (As it has a good base from which put teaching method from.)Most of these drills would be taught within the first year of training at any reputable Japanese style sword school.This is very unlikely to help someone with years of training and teaching experience.
Conditioning drills are excellent as there are no dojos in my area offering training. Illustrations and explanations are concise, although I augmented my training plan with YouTube videos for minor clarification, modifications (for specific disabilities, and different angles.
Likely better books on the market, but has material every swordsman should have foundations with. Great review book.
